Daisy Edgar-Jones was certainly the belle of the ball at the Critics Choice Awards last weekend. The Normal People actress, 24, was rocking a metallic, cut-out, thigh-high slit Gucci gown that highlighted her super toned abs, as well as her long, strong legs.
“Critics choice last night with @bulgari and @gucci x,” she captioned the pic that she posted to her Instagram account.
Her friends and fans were right there, ready to cheer Daisy on. “STOP THE PRESSES 🤯,” one person wrote. “you look so beautiful🥲,” Nell Mescal commented. And a third fan wrote an incredibly hilarious note to Daisy: “I’m sorry, but I’m going to have to see your license to SLAY 🔥.”
If you’re wondering how Daisy gets that toned core and those sculpted legs, I’ve got the answers for you. One way the actress gets her body moving, while building strength and muscle tone is by doing yoga. Daisy actually told Vogue that she does daily yoga videos.
Another way she gets her heart rate up? TikTok dance videos. She told The New Yorker that during lockdown, besides playing board games and doing karaoke, she and her roommates “learned a lot of TikTok dances.”
Daisy also has done lots of dance training for her roles, including scenes for Fresh with her costar Sebastian Stan.
“It was so much fun. We had about four or five days of rehearsals before we started and one of the big things that we rehearsed was that final dance. Mimi [director Mimi Cave] had quite specific choreography, so we were working out what song to boogie to and Sebastian was very good with the shoulder moves,” she told Yahoo. “Those scenes were probably some of my favourites to film.”
Daisy later added, “You can probably see from the film that I’m not a massively brilliantly dancer, but I do have rhythm.”
While she hasn’t talked much about how she fuels up for busy days, Daisy did share that as they were filming her movie, Where The Crawdads Sing, she did indeed enjoy some crawfish.
“I had quite a few crawfish boils!” she told Southern Living. “So tasty… though I’m not very good at peeling them. I get very hungry, so I would get frustrated when it would take about five minutes to peel. But they are very delicious.”
And she clearly has a love for a slice of pizza.
One food she is no longer a fan of: Pâté, which she got turned off to while filming her movie Fresh. “It’s like, for liver, and it was actual pâté. If you have to eat pâté, like lumps and lumps of pâté, it’s going to put you off pâté,” she shared during a Q&A during the 2022 Sundance Film Festival.
