Jenna Dewan is getting busy doing squats with her trainer at the gym, and she posted a workout video to her Instagram Story.
- In the video, the actress runs through several reps of weighted squats, showing everyone how strong (and toned) her glutes are.
- While she definitely seems into lower-body gym workouts RN, Jenna is always down to try new activities.
If this July heat has you in need of some fitspo to jolt you out of your gym slump, look no further than Jenna Dewan’s latest Instagram Story. The Step Up star was in the gym putting in some work with her trainer, and showing off her epically toned booty, of course.
Jenna posted a quick gym sesh video to her IG Story where she is *totally* crushing a set of weighted squats. The star is rocking black leggings and a white t-shirt as she drops it low on a squat rack. And based on the seriously stacked weighted plates and Jenna’s toned booty, I’d say the workouts are definitely the key to that toned peach. It’s truly inspirational to watch.
Jenna Dewan crushes a gym workout.
Squats, as Jenna knows, mostly target your lower-body, but they can also have some great benefits for almost every major muscle group. Your quads and glutes get a workout, but so do your hamstrings, calves, and core. Plus, squats are also a great way to help you stay super strong all over as you get older.
If you’re wondering what else the actress does to get so strong, Women’s Health has some good answers and helpful insights for you. While Jenna may have captured our hearts with her dance moves, you should know that they remain an important part of her fitness routine, too. In fact, Jenna even took up pole dancing at one point, and if you’ve tried this, you’ll know it’s a major feat of cardio and upper body strength.
And again here, where Jenna’s getting a full-body burn during a bodyweight workout:
The star is also a fan of Pilates, which she says reminds her of dance-based workouts. ICYDK, Pilates is a great low-impact workout that can provide overall tone. The actress told Women’s Health she does three or four-hour-long Zoom Pilates sessions with her trainer Kim Carruthers per week. “It gets you fit so fast, and you just feel stronger,” Jenna said. “The dancer in me really likes it because it activates the same muscles in my core.”
When it comes to her diet, Jenna follows a vegetarian meal plan. And her go-to, at-home meal is one her family calls a “Jenna salad.” This dish involves lots of chopped veggies (think carrots, bell peppers, broccoli, and avocado), along with sour kraut, a veggie burger, and a dressing of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Um, yum!
Jenna–it’s awesome to watch you stay so strong, and try new things. Keep crushing it!
