Serena Williams Posted A Rare Pic Of Her Toned Abs, And It Is Totally Epic

  • Serena Williams showed a rare peek of her totally sculpted abs and strong legs in a new Instagram photo she shared this week.

  • The famous tennis player and mom wore a crop top and jean shorts in the pic.
  • Serena still plays a lot of tennis, but when she’s not on the course, she likes to do Tonal workouts at home.

Serena Williams is, without a doubt, the Grand Slam Queen. And although she may have put her tennis career on pause last year, it sure looks like the GOAT isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

While Serena, 41, hasn’t been competing this year, it seems as though she’s still grinding out practice time at home. She even shares some BTS shots from her workouts. And, of course, the mom is making plenty of time for her adorable daughter, Alexis Olympia. (BTW, the tennis pro’s daughter has more than half a million followers. Clearly, hard work runs in the fam!)

While Olympia’s been slaying her own ‘gram game, her mom is serving tennis balls and some seriously title-worthy looks of her own. Case in point: Serena’s latest post, where she is absolutely rocking a cropped top and jean shorts, along with her racket and her super-toned abs.

“Picked up my racket, but I didn’t make it out,” Serena captioned the pic. Of course, people hopped in the comments to let the tennis OG know how strong she looked these days.

“Yeeesss. Serving BAWWDDYY,” commented one astute follower. “🔥🔥🔥 #slay,” wrote another. And of course, the people are calling for their tennis queen to return to the court.

Serena is obviously known for being an absolute force—on the court and off. If you’re wondering how she maintains her strength—and stamina, those matches are no joke!— Women’s Health has you covered. In her MasterClass, Serena said when she’s training to compete, her workout routines are *intense*.

“I train very hard. I almost break my body down,” she said. “That way, when I start, I’m ready for anything and I’m ready for it to last for about eight to nine months in the season. Somewhere in the middle of the season, I have another intense training session.” To keep her energy up, she aims to be able to play for tennis for four hours or more. And while she has not actually played a match that long IRL, Serena stays ready.

“And I figure if I can last that long in a match, then I’ll be able to last any time, period,” she shared during her MasterClass session.

Serena doesn’t save all of her workout time for the court, of course. She’s a big fan of Tonal home workout equipment, so much so that she actually invests in the company. Tonal is a high-tech screen that offers interactive workouts, and this particular product has a cable and weight system included. You can see Serena’s setup in a little home gym tour she shared on IG. And, of course, her daughter has her own mini version of mom’s equipment. They are truly the cutest!

When it comes to food, the tennis legend prefers a plant-based diet. Good nutrition is definitely super important, given how much Serena is moving throughout her day. “My philosophy is eat to live. Don’t live to eat,” she told Women’s Health. “I want to have a healthy lifestyle and, so you know, [I’m eating] a lot of greens and mostly plant-based lately, just super healthy stuff.”

Well clearly, it’s working! You go, Serena.
