Tracee Ellis Ross is giving everyone some serious summer FOMO in her latest Instagram post. The Black-ish alum, 50, shared some incredible pics from her vacation in Jamaica where she is getting in lots of sunshine and swimming. While the setting is lovely, it’s hard to miss how totally strong and sculpted Tracee is in her little string bikini. Seriously, this woman’s abs are on totally killer.
Tracee kept the caption simple, putting a single emoji of the Jamaican flag. And her famous friends were totally loving the pics. “Oh how I miss that spot!!! Enjoy. The best place β€οΈ,” Kate Hudson commented. And actress Natasha Lyonne left this note: “Splish splash!! π¦ π₯π.” Even Gabrielle Union also added, “Gorgeous”, while model Ashley Graham commented, “π€€π€€π€€π€€π€€.”
If you’re wondering what Tracee’s workout secrets are, you’re in luck. She shares lots of her fitness content online. Case in point: Earlier this month, Tracee shared a video of herself getting in a Gyrotonic Method workout (a.k.a Gyrotonics).
According to the Gyrotonic Method website, it is “an original and unique movement method that addresses the entire person by opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion, and improving strength and movement efficiency.”
It’s a workout Tracee has been doing since 2012.
Tracee also works with her personal trainer, Jason Walsh. During a session last month, Tracee was working up a sweat doing weighted leg lifts, deadlifts, bridges, plus some killer arm work.
Tracee also shared another workout she did with Jason that featured a killer drop set, where she pushed a super-heavy weighted sled back and forth across the gym floor.
As for her diet, Tracee likes to eat well and focuses on balanced meals. “I like simple, whole foods,” Tracee told People.
And she doesn’t restrict herself. βMy favorite meal of the day is an early dinner/late lunch between 4 and 6 p.m.,β she said. βI love going to one of my favorite restaurants once a week to have a glass of wine and a delicious meal. I donβt restrict my eating to firm meal times. I eat in the same philosophy that I live with: joyfully!β
Tracee is also big on supplements. “Usually vitamin C and B. I use the Lypo-Spheric kind. And I do algae. And what is the other one? You know, Iβm a perimenopausal lady! Iβm 49! Fish oil! Thatβs what Iβm trying to find. And I drink my Chinese herbs and then 15 minutes before my workout, I eat a little lunchbox-sized apple sauce,” she told The Wall Street Journal.

But let it be known that Tracee hates apple sauce, but she’ll still eat it to help fuel her workouts. “I do not like apple sauce at all. But I was told that that kind of pure, good-for-you sugar 15 minutes before a workout will make your workout more productive. Whether it works or not, I have no idea. But I suffer through eating the apple sauce.”
Clearly the apple sauce is paying off, Tracee!
