Padma Lakshmi just dropped an amazing video of herself on Instagram—and I have to point out that it’s everything.
- In the clip, the 52-year-old model and TV personality is sitting in a chair with her seriously sculpted legs crossed in front of her as she adjusts her angle. She looks completely at ease and her legs couldn’t look any stronger.
- To stay in shape despite her super-busy schedule, Padma relies on Pilates and jumping rope. She also does cardio workouts and strength training sessions on the reg.
Padma Lakshmi just casually dropped an Instagram video that showed off her epic legs—and wow, I’m speechless.
The video is simple: It features Padma in a black long-sleeved minidress with strappy black sandals, sitting in a chair. Her seriously sculpted legs are crossed in front of her as she looks one way and adjusts her angle.
The 52-year-old model and TV personality made it clear that she knew exactly what she was doing, writing: “Sun’s out, legs out 💛” in the caption.
Naturally, people were all over it in the comments. “🔥🔥🔥legs for days and weeks and months,” one wrote. “Thirst traps are awesome 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” said another. Top Chef Katsuji Tanabe even chimed in with, “I am as tall as your left leg 🦵 😂.”
Padma looks seriously strong and fit these days—and it’s no accident. She previously told Women’s Health that she works out at least five times a week for 90 minutes. She’s also big into jumping rope and does 2,000 strokes a day.
Pilates is in the mix, too. “I started going to Pilates a few years ago, because my chiropractor recommended it for my back,” she said, referring to her scoliosis. “Pilates changed my body. It made me strong in places I didn’t know I needed to be. I have a butt now that I didn’t have during my modeling career!”

But that’s not all Padma does. She’s also into strength training, along with using cardio machines like the elliptical and treadmill. By the way, she isn’t exactly slacking at the gym. Check out this Instagram video of her completely owning the battle ropes, boxing, and flipping tires like it’s nothing.
In terms of nutrition, it’s no secret that Padma loves food—she’s built a career on it, after all. She’s big into cooking at home, and she just dropped a video of a mouthwatering “semi-homemade ravioli” filled with scallions and leeks, along with a saffron butter sauce.
But Padma told WH that she likes to fill her plate with 50 percent fruits and vegetables with 50 percent simple carbs, starches, and lean protein. She aims to eat a mostly plant-based diet when she’s not filming, but she’ll have chicken, fish, ground turkey, and veal once in a while.
Get it, Padma!
