Jessie J is a whole summer vibe in her latest pics, and I am here for it. The 35-year-old singer shared a quick snap to her IG story of herself in a hunter green bikini, showing off how all-over strong she is. And ICYMI, Jessie only gave birth to her son, Sky Safir Cornish Colman, in June. So, this mama’s mirror selfie doubles as an expert lesson in Mom Power.
In the pic, Jessie paired the suit with a pair of chic sunglasses, gold jewelry, and put her hair in a slicked-back ponytail. At the very bottom of the pic, she wrote (in very teeny tiny font) “Goes to the gym twice.”
Here’s the snap, in case you missed it:
And, after seeing that pic, if you’re wondering what Jessie does to get strong both before and after her pregnancy, you’re definitely not alone. And luckily, Women’s Health has you covered in that department. The first thing to know is that the “Price Tag” singer has shared a ton of her postpartum workouts on IG. Since Sky’s birth, she’s been putting in some serious work at the gym to get strong.
In one video, Jessie does kettlebell squats and hip raises with a weighted bag, arm raises, sprints, and more to get a full-body workout. All while making sure to make faces at Sky, who occasionally joins his momma.
Another time, Jessie got busy crushing squats, lunges, and dumbbell presses. Of course, she made sure to warm up with some stretches and cool down by giving Sky a bottle while her trainer :
Jessie says her workout goals aren’t aesthetic, though. It just makes her feel good! “[Working out] really makes me feel positive,” Jessie said in a WH UK interview. “It releases endorphins—and I never really used to believe in that until I started working out. You do really get this sluggish feeling before a workout where you’re like, ‘Oh, I don’t want to do it,’ and you might feel a little low. But you do a workout, and it gives you that pickup. It makes me feel alive.”
During pregnancy, Jessie also kept a positive mindset around her changing body, and continued her advocacy following the birth of her son in June. “Celebrate your new body. It HAD to change. It will be bigger and smaller in different places,” she captioned a post that showed her postpartum body. “IT IS BEAUTIFUL and NATURAL. Ignore the whispers of what some people say you should or shouldn’t look like after a certain time. It’s 2023. People need to chill. Time to snap forward not snap back.”

As for her diet, Jessie hasn’t shared a ton recently, but she did go vegan a few years back to combat some fertility issues, she told Plant Based News. “I cut out sugar from my diet to try and stop bacteria from building up in my body. Once I cut out sugar, I realized how much I began to enjoy food when it was good for me–and it was balancing out everything–my health, my moods, my sleep,” she shared with the outlet in 2019.
Love watching this new mom crush it! You go, Jessie!
