Happy Birthday, Kate Beckinsale! The actress just celebrated her 50th birthday, and she did it in the most Kate Beckinsale way possible. The actress dropped a ton of Instagram posts showing some behind-the-scenes pics of her celebrations, including two of herself posing in leotards. She looked like she was having the best time.
In the pics, you can see Kate posing with three friends in bunny costumes, while working a black leotard that showed off her miles and miles of sculpted legs in sky-high heels.
Next, flip on over to a photo dump of Kate in the coolest sparkly turtleneck leotard and feather jacket that shows off those next-level legs again. “The most amazing birthday continues .. what a party -full of love and glitter and the best people. Thank you to everyone and especially everyone 💕💕,” she wrote in the caption.
Cue people, completely freaking out in the comments. “Sexiest 50 year old alive?” one wrote. “Another birthday another day of not looking a day older 😂 happy birthday Benjamin Button,” someone else said.
Kate shared in another post that she had what appears to be the best birthday ever. “I tell you what. Getting old is f*cking great,” she captioned a slew of shots of herself hanging with friends and family. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the most magical day full of joy and love and dear dear friends and the odd bird (not me but also me).”
Kate is definitely next-level fit and super happy right now. So, if you want to know what she’s been doing to get those legs so sculpted, Women’s Health is here with some answers. For starters, she’s really into yoga. Check out this hilarious video of the actress driving to a class with a friend while wearing bunny ears, interspersed with shots of herself doing impressively flexible tree poses.
She also grinds it out at the gym. Kate previously told Women’s Health that she started working out regularly after Michael Bay asked her to lose weight for 2001’s Pearl Harbor. She admits that it “didn’t make me feel good” at the time to be ordered to the gym, but she realized she actually loved working out.
“Now exercise is almost more important to me mood-wise,” she said. Kate has previously worked with trainer Brad Siskind, who told WH that she went hard during their sweat sessions together. “The whole hour is work,” he said.
Want proof she’s not screwing around? Check out this video of Kate casually doing upside down crunches while hanging from the ceiling like a total boss.
By the way, Kate is into morning workouts. She told WH that exercising is one of the first things she does. “I wake up, eat something, and go straight to the gym,” she said. Sometimes she’ll even work out again. “If I’m going to do cardio, I’ll do it later on in the day,” she said.

While Kate admits that she has a thing for potato chips, she also said she aims to eat well. That includes having some kind of protein like chicken or eggs before her workout, followed by meals later in the day like salads with Brussels sprouts, radishes, and safflower oil, and salmon.
Happy birthday, Kate!
